Letters From Steve Oct 2018

Aloha,

This Month is National Physical Therapy Month so bring on the Noni!!

Twenty years ago, I began working with Melody Toth, Sports Trainer at the University of Hawaii, using our Noni lotions on injured athletes. It was truly an eye opener for me with many rewarding experiences. I love following college sports. Especially the University of Hawaii’s basketball, football, baseball, and volleyball teams. I first approached Mel when a star basketball player at UH was out for the season with an injured Achilles tendon. On our farm, we had found that applying the Noni lotions to pulled muscles or torn ligaments would relieve the pain and address the condition within 24-48 hours. I flew to Honolulu to give Mel our first Noni Lotion to try on the injured basketball player. Mel was very open to trying the lotion as all other methods she tried had not worked. She applied the Noni Lotion three times per day to his Achilles tendon and found the player experienced immediate pain relief when applied. I received a phone call in 10 days later. The player’s condition had completely healed and was going to play that night in the opening tournament of the season!! Several years later with Mel assistance, we developed the Icy Heat Noni Lotion with the added menthol crystals and camphor oil for quicker response to pain as the Noni in the lotion is able to penetrate faster and deeper.

After Mel retired, we developed the Sport Formula IcyHeat lotion at the request of the head football trainer at the University of Hawaii. Eric (the trainer), requested 1% more menthol crystals and camphor oil for an even quicker response to pain relief. The extra menthol crystal and camphor oil expedited the relief by faster penetration into the affected area. I personally have the Sports Formula IcyHeat lotion next to my bed for night time use to relieve muscle cramps.

We now have many Physical Therapists using our organic Noni products in their private practices to address a wide variety of physical ailments including:

  • Muscular
  • Ligament
  • Inflammation
  • Joint pain

How does Noni relieve pain? THE SCOPOLETIN CONNECTION
Studies have demonstrated that Noni is rich in scopoletin.

Among its wide ranging pharmacological effects include:

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Pain-relieving
  • Sedative properties

The body also utilizes scopoletin for smooth joint movement.

Most importantly for me, is the research that has identified over 165 beneficial compounds in the raw pulp of Noni. These compounds work together as a raw food to address a wide variety of conditions or ailments by feeding the cells of the body. Noni not only addresses the symptoms of pain, but penetrates deep into the cells' wall addressing the root cause of pain- namely inflammation.

Many years ago, a Pharmaceutical company attempted to isolate and remove scopoletin from the pulp of Noni in hopes to patent the process making a  scopoletin pill for pain relief. To their disappointment, they discovered once scopoletin was isolated from the other 165 other beneficial compounds in noni, the pain relieving effect was lost. There was no monetary gain in scopoletin itself. Therefore, the company abandon their efforts.

The main point – the potency is in the whole raw non-fermented pulp of Noni. All 165 compounds (including scopoletin) work together to feed the cells of the body to address, pain, inflammation and physical ailments.

Is Noni a miracle? No. Does Noni heal? Absolutely, if one does not destroy the raw pulp of the fruit in processing. In the highlighted article for the month, you will find testimonials using our organic Noni lotions addressing torn meniscus, osteoarthritis, hip flexor, painful swollen feet, and endurance. The IcyHeat Noni Lotions are very good for pain.

Remember this trick:
Apply the lotions to the bottom of both feet first and then apply to the localized area for even faster relief. Why? There are over 7000 nerve endings in the bottom of your feet. Therefore, applying the IcyHeat Noni lotions to the bottom of both feet first allows the nerve ending in the feet to absorb the lotion faster and disperse throughout the body faster. Then apply to the localized area with pain. It works!!

The main Newsletter in the middle of the month will feature the article: “Why We Love to Rub Noni on Our Bodies” and we will discuss how Noni may help with your pain relief and act as a natural preventative. Retired Sports Trainer at the University of Hawaii, Melody Toth, is interviewed with her recommendations for applying the IcyHeat Noni lotion for pain relief from her personal experiences using the lotion on athletes at the university over the years.

This is one of my favorite articles from the Doctors Prescription for Healthy Living because I was personally involved with Melody Toth, Sports Trainer at the University of Hawaii, discovering the many uses of our Noni lotions on athletes' physical ailments.

The article covers:

  • How Noni relieves pain
  • The Scopoletin Connection

The best part is the interview with Mel sharing her own personal experiences using our Noni Lotions to address many types of sports injuries such as:

  • Quadriceps
  • Hamstring injuries
  • Low back pain
  • Repetitive motion injuries (bursitis and tendonitis)
  • Sore feet or ankles
  • Cramps

Tip: Because of Mel, Marathon runners use of Noni Lotions to take away or prevent cramping!!

After Mel retired, we developed the Sport Formula IcyHeat lotion at the request of the head football trainer at the University of Hawaii. Eric (the trainer) requested 1% more menthol crystals and camphor oil for an even quicker response for pain relief. The extra menthol crystal and camphor oil expedite or hasten the relief with quicker penetration.

I personally have the Sports Formula IcyHeat lotion next to my bed for night time use to relieve cramps.

It is very rewarding for everyone at Hawaiian Organic Noni to receive the phone calls or emails with new Testimonials. We have learned from you all, many new uses for our organic Noni products.

Your lotion helped my foot pain!

In November of 2017 my husband and visited your farm. We both were very skeptical on these products, but we listened to you talk about Noni and after ordered some products to be shipped home . On our last day we came across your Noni Lotion at the farmers market. I had foot pain and could barely walk. We bought a small IcyHeat Noni Lotion and massaged it on, it was like magic a few minutes later. I have also been faithfully eating Noni Fruit Leather and feeling great. I have everyone I know ordering the products. Thank you Steve PS ( Your a God Send!😘)

A Jogger's Best Friend

I discovered this product on our annual trip to Kauai a few years ago at the weekly market. I have been an avid jogger my entire life, however, joint pain and cramping had become a problem now that I am in my 70's and Noni IcyHeat Sports Formula has worked wonders allowing me to continue to do what I love pain free.

Awesome product on my replaced knee and arthritic feet

We tried this at a Farmers Market in Kapaa on Kauai last week while visiting. He put a sample on my replaced knee and the lingering aching was gone in about 5 minutes. I then bought some and rubbed it on my feet. Also an almost immediate improvement. I will buy more in the future because it really works. I am a senior citizen in Idaho and it helps the aches and pains of aging.

Keep exercising, stay healthy, and smile!

About the Author: Steve Frailey

My wife and I (Steve Frailey) moved to Kauai, Hawaii in 1982 from our organic farm in California. There were no roads, electricity, water or buildings but lots of Noni trees (Morinda Citrifolia) in our valley. We also developed a deep relationship with Noni that was growing all through our valley.  Today we run our Hawaiian Organic Noni farm, and share the gift of health with people throughout the world.
