Did you know we offer FREE farm tours of our 37 acre certified organic family farm? If you are on Kauai or planning a trip soon come pay us a visit! We love to share our knowledge of Noni and organic farming methods with guests. We’ll share everything we know about this unusual fruit, including the growing body of scientific research about this fruit’s properties and traditional usages. We also spend about a half hour on our organic processes- mulch, compost, vermiculture and compost teas. These are things that we do on a very large scale that you may do on a small scale in your home garden. Tours are Mon, Wed and Fri at 10am by reservation so just give us a call on 888-882-NONI to reserve your free tour!

We were recently honored with a Certificate of Excellence on TripAdvisor. Click here to check out reviews of our tour. Come visit us at Kaakaaniu Plantation to learn more about Noni and just what it can do to promote health and wellness for you and your pets!

Sept 2016

I hope everyone has had a great summer!!

We’ve had a very busy summer with all the duties required to maintain the organic Noni farm in addition to offering the free Organic Noni Farm & Wellness Tours every Monday, Wednesday & Friday. It’s really fun meeting so many new people on the tours, exposing them to what Noni fruit might do to improve their health; sharing our organic principles and sustainable farming that one can simply do on a small scale at home in their backyard gardens; talking about our alternative energy system from our windmills, and solar water pumping systems; plus sharing about the Albatross. We actually learn many new usages for our organic Noni products from the visitors. The most pleasurable moments are when people share their own personal “healing experience” from past usage or a first time user whose “pain is gone” after applying one of the Noni Lotions during our Farm Tour. Trust me, when folks get teary eyed with joy it’s very rewarding and gratifying.

Made in Hawaii Festival Follow-up
We had a fabulous time at the largest trade show of the year in Honolulu. Great people (over 40,000) and wonderful products all made in Hawaii. We love sharing the time with many of our loyal customers and meeting new folks who have never tried our Organic Noni products. Lots of fun having so many people amazed that their “pain is gone” by simply applying our Noni Lotions.

For 10 years, I have had the pleasure of being interviewed about Noni fruit on the DOCTOR HEALTH RADIO SHOW every 3 months. Host David Snow, produces a very valuable and knowledgeable Talk Radio show for the listeners in Hawaii every Saturday morning for 2 hours on 690 AM. His show is re-broadcast at 9 PM on Saturday night on doctorhealthradio.com – good listening.

I fly to Honolulu to do the shows live in studio and it is a lot of fun. The first 10 minutes of the show is usually dedicated to the true traditional use of Noni fruit, research and some of my personal experiences with Noni. Then the phone lines are opened and the next 45 minutes is callers with questions about Noni possible helping them with a specific condition or their own personal experiences of being healed using our organic Noni products.

Last week, David Snow wrote a new 60 second spot that runs each week on his show about Hawaiian Organic Noni. I was so impressed with the script he wrote and had recorded, that I thought I would like to share with you his masterpiece. Realizing that it is not easy to get a lot of info in a short 60 spot, I thought David did a great job highlighting the key points about Noni fruit and traditional use.

So here is the spot
“The Garden Island of Kauai . . . one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Kauai is also where Hawaiian Organic Noni has the largest organic farm of its kind, growing a plant so valuable, that the ancient settlers of Hawaii brought it with them as one of their main sources of medicine.

Organic Certification
We just completed our annual recertification by International Certification Services for our organic noni farm and organic processing facility. Every year, the inspector spends all day reviewing and documenting our operations on the farm and in the processing facility.

USDA Certification
They represent the USDA, and their job is to ensure that everything on the noni farm is organically grown, process, and handled in accordance with the USDA National Organic Program standards and statutes. This year we had a new inspector who was genuinely impressed with our organic noni farm operation, our organic processing facility and our 35 year commitment to organic practices.

Aloha to all and if you are on Kauai this summer, please come visit us on the farm.

Home School Group Visits our Organic Farm
Several weeks ago, we had the extreme pleasure of having over 20 students and their parents visit our organic farm to learn about our organic farming practices, the healing benefits of Noni and visited the Albatross. It was a glorious day enjoyed by all. We really love sharing our Noni Farm with others and these kids were great with lots of questions.

The students learned about worms, compost, mulch and how to drive a tractor! Very well behaved bunch!

March 2016

I hope winter’s chill is beginning to fade away wherever you live. Here in Hawaii, the weather has naturally been very friendly. We do experience a little more coolness in the winter months, dropping into the low 60s at night and only reaching the high 70s during the day. During our cool nights, one might even have to put on socks!! The whales and albatross have both returned to Hawaii for their breeding season and to raise their new families. It is a fun time of the year!

This month, I would like to focus on the Lavender Noni Lotion and what noni fruit can possibly do to help with a wide variety of skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and chronic acne. We’ll also discuss how noni fruit can help prevent and repair skin damage such as age spots and even wrinkles.

I personally use the Lavender Noni Lotion every day to help prevent sun damage to my skin. One of the first things I noticed when I started using noni topically many years ago was how soft and smooth it keeps the skin. As I’ve aged, I’ve been grateful for what it’s done to slow the aging process and help me heal quickly even as I’ve gotten older.

I recently had an accident on the farm, falling through the old barn roof as we were demolishing the old building. I ended up with a concussion and 10 stitches on my forehead and face. Several times a day, I applied Lavender Noni Lotion to the stitches. When the stitches were removed last week, the doctor commented on “how quickly I heal and no scars!” I told him it was the Noni Fruit!

In light of my accident and recovery, it seemed only natural to give a discount on Lavender Noni Lotion this month!

Feb 2016

Throughout this past month, we had some very special noni farm tour guests: 7 days of bus tours with 50 to 100 farmers and retired farmers from the mainland at a time. YMT Vacations arranged packaged tours to Hawaii, and one of the stops was at our certified organic Noni Farm.

YMT-Vacation
What a great group of people! They were all very interested in our no-till organic and sustainable farming methods with organic mulch, organic compost, worm hotels and compost teas. Most had never heard of Noni fruit but really seemed to enjoy the tour and using our Noni lotions.

Hopefully, they all went home loving their Noni fruit and what Noni procutes can do for them!!

New Cap Seals on Lotion Bottles
Watch for our new “Integrity” cap seal inside the caps on our lotion bottles. We just received our Enercon Cap Sealing machine that will allow us to place a seal on each bottle of lotion. Simply remove the black cap and remove the seal attached to the bottle opening before the first use. The “integrity” seal allows for a tamper-proof seal and will help stop leakage during shipping. Enjoy the new seals!!

Hawaiian Organic Noni on Kauai Visitor Channel
A while back the Kauai Visitor Channel sent a film crew to our farm to interview me about noni and our farm. I encourage you to watch this three minute video, as it gives you a great sense of our farm and what we do. The local Kauai Visitor Channel airs this video several times per day to inform tourists of the opportunity to visit our farm and learn more about noni. I hope you enjoy this awesome, well-produced video.

Newest Noni Field Growing Fast!
Back in the January 2014 newsletter, we shared a picture of the new noni trees we planted, with a view of the ocean in the background. The trees were transplanted from our valley up onto this sunny field.

Last year in January, we shared a second picture showing their growth progress. Here are those two pictures for comparison, and here’s this year’s picture! We can’t believe how fast these amazing trees can grow, especially when they’re fed with our organic compost, worm castings, and mulch.

Christmas Food & Craft Fair in Honolulu
We always have a great time at this event! Check out this picture we took while we were there!

Much Aloha from everyone down on the Farm. During this New Year, when you are in a bad mood, or when things are not going so good and you are angry with someone, try to remember this very old Persian saying:

“With kind words and a sweet tongue, you can lead an elephant by a hair”

About the Author: Steve Frailey

My wife and I (Steve Frailey) moved to Kauai, Hawaii in 1982 from our organic farm in California. There were no roads, electricity, water or buildings but lots of Noni trees (Morinda Citrifolia) in our valley. We also developed a deep relationship with Noni that was growing all through our valley.  Today we run our Hawaiian Organic Noni farm, and share the gift of health with people throughout the world.
