Tramadol is a non-opioid pain medication. Tramadol is used to tread moderate to sever pain.
Side affects of tramadol are but not limited to addiction, seizures, constipation, nausea, liver, and kidney problems. This is because tramadol works by binding to the μ-opioid receptors that exist mostly in the gray region of the brain. The gray region is the primary control center that regulates and suppresses pain as well as regulate blood pressure, bowel motility, and gamma-aminobutyric acid production.
What is gamma-aminobutyric acid???
Gamma-aminobutyric acid is an amino acid that acts as a transmitter sending messages to the nervous system and brain. In other words, GABA aids in the body's response to stress and anxiety. Studies have shown lower than normal GABA levels can be linked to depression, panic attacks and sleep disorders.
In the January 2010 issue of Phytotherapy Research (24:38-42), researchers from the University Clinic Hamburg, Germany, found that preparations of noni “are effective in decreasing pain and joint destruction caused by arthritis.” The analgesic activity of noni fruit “reduced the pain sensitivity comparably to the central analgesic drug tramadol. An alcohol extract of noni fruit puree also caused an “effect [that] was comparable to hydrocortisone.”
Another impressive study published in Acta Pharmacologica Sinica (23:1127-1141) found that noni extract did not exhibit any toxic effects but did show significant, dose-related, anti-inflammatory and central analgesic activities. So significant, in fact, that it was 75 percent as strong as morphine, yet totally safe and side-effect free.
Hawaiian Organic Noni Lotions were developed to use noni's natural ability to address pain and inflammation as a topical remedy.
